Money and the (almost) lack of it

A little time ago I bemoaned my cars ability to suck my wallet dry just as I think I've got the latch on the barn doors on it (the wallet not the car) fixed.
Well tonight I got a nice call from my Tax accountant. "Have you looked in your letterbox" she said. "No" said I. "You should," she said, "for in there is your tax form to check, sign and send in." And then in between 2 - 6 weeks the New Zealand Government should pay back over $1K in taxes I shouldn't have given them :)
Which just about covers my cashflow shortfall this month :( (Do you see the small problem here)
Though I think I can tap dance fast enough for this to not be a "rice and water" problem till my birthday. :)
