It's just biting me big time.

It's 6 monthly service falls due right now. and It needs:
- 2 new tyres
- new Brake rotors (discs I believe) on the front.
- a Full engine service
- a Transmission service (the automatic transmission is playing up a bit)
- a check on the starter system (it won't start when it gets real hot and the AA man said it was the starter motor)

I was hoping this would come in nearer to $1K than $1.5K

I've just heard from my friendly (I'm not being sarcastic they've really treated me right) mechanic.
Apart from the last item and after giving me Trade rates on some of the time the bill is sitting at $1.6K (+ 12.5% GST).
The last item requires a part (~$120) which then has to be couriered and installed and probably should be done.

Anyway my final bill is looking to be over $2K, and I'm planning to go down to Wellington to the N.Z. National S.F. convention at Easter.

So all in all Struan is a very unhappy chappy financially right now. So I'd love some cheap cheering up this weekend.

At least it looks like I'll be getting a Tax refund later this year. (Which is now spent too :/)
