Morning all

So the rest of the day yesterday went good with patches of not so good. But only patches. :)
Just after the last post I got a phone call from the hostess of the party I was heading down to last night asking if I could take a random stranger was going to borrowing their "couch". Yay company for the drive says I and then heads off to the Poly Munch.
There weren't so many people turned up as often do but it was still good as people ebbed and flowed. Also Registration forms were handed around and I tried to contact![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
papabearnz to confirm he was in Hamilton for people to get money to him. Talk was good and geeking too :)
Then off to pick up my passenger, Lisa from Vermont, and on down to Hamilton. Lisa was a delightful companion and it turned out we had happened to be at the same Folk festival back in 1999, Falconridge when Ani di Franco played, which was just cool and wierd. Anyway much nattering, and a call frompapabearnz which resullted in me inviting him to the party too, and we eventually arrived at the party place.
Lisa seemed to slot right in (no surprise there actually) and there enough people I knew for me to relax and enough I didn't for it to be interesting. All in all a good plus party (though there were a few moments that were real downers). I discovered that I hadn't drunk anywhere as much as I thought and so decided to drive back to Auckland, givingalasatyr a lift back. Which in some ways proved to be the highlight, definitely a plus, of the evening. Good tunes in the background, a dark road and excellent, meaningful conversation meant the kilometers flew by and the trip seemed to take far less time than it actually did. I was almost sad when we reached his gate, but it was almost 2 am.
Then home to bed and the demons of the morning whilst not gone were definitely less. Much talking about where I am and what I hope for, though slightly stupidly none of it with the person I'd really like to talk about such things with.
