On related news, Volume 1 of the Babylon 5 scripts of J. Michael Straczynski arrived during the week and I picked it up yesterday. I'd forogtten how cool Joe is when he's just writing for himself (and us fans).

And then there's today

Today is looking like being a down day. And I'm trying to turn that aside, but the current tasks here at work just aren't thrilling enough to really throw myself into and I shouldn't really descend into fic while at work.

It all started with last night as the game I'm playing in seemed to drag. I know for a fact that this wasn't the GM's fault as he was generallyr esolving stuff as fast as he could but a few of the players jsut didn't seemed focused on the game and when you're trying to play throug a combat this does make things drag. It didn't help that there were sleep (and other takeout) effects in play which means that the players of slept characaters are free to not think about what they're going to do next and instead can distract other players when they should be getting through the process. It's not helped when that distraction is done in full conversation volume which, in the room we play in, makes it difficult to follow the actual, GM centric, narrative.

And then I get home and there's an LJ post I want to reply to but just don't know how.
And bed seems an unappealing option for all that I'm tired.
then I awake this morning still tired, slightly sore (probably DOMS as I was a bit vicious at the gym yesterday morning) and defintely unmotivated. So no gym, no pre-work CSI Miami (just didn't quite have time after the shower) and CoV didn't help.

Email is being flaky (SpamCop appears to have some of GMail's servers listed) and I can sense the spiral beginning.

Hopefully dinner with my sister tonight will be good but I stil have to muddle through today.
