What a weekend
Jan. 31st, 2005 11:09 pmIn a weekend that only reinforces my postulate that having a late/interesting night Friday makes for a weekend that feels longer it has been a very busy long weekend.
Friday night I had been invited to a Dinner Party (small) which was good food, good conversation and one slightly drunken and very tired game of cards. And taxied home!
Saturday morning I recovered my car and missed the birthday party (sorry Marcus, I'll make it up to you - and your parents - next year) and then headed out for board gaming. Which I stayed at till about 9pm.
Sunday morning had been booked in for a groug of us to do one of the City of Heroes Task force missions starting at 9am. Logged on at 8:57 and we were into it by 9:15. As expected this lasted till about 3 am, when I did some chores and then headed out for the second party of the weekend, a combination birthday and farewell party. Again much fun was had, especially as there was a slightly different group some of whom I did know a bit. All in all a very good evening.
Today I did some more chores and then headed off to see "Million Dollar Baby" with
a_r_a_n_a. A very good film, just not a happy one. Then round to some friendn place for a swim and then a lazy evening at home waiting for the heat to cool off.
Which it still hasn't. Now I just have to survive the night so I can go to work tomorrow.
