Clutter and the Clearing thereof
Nov. 19th, 2003 07:25 amDuring the course of tidying my house (I'm hosting a Stag on Saturday and then having a friend from the US stay for a little bit. Hi
ladythumper) Anyway isn't spring time the traditional cleaning and clearing time.
Anyway, I realised that I like having stuff and I like living where stuff is visible but away.
this is (of course) at odds with my laziness (so I don't put stuff away) and my pack-rat nature (why the helll am I keeping this stuff)
So now I sit, in my newly cleared (well almost, a small pile of "can't throw away just yet" paper to be sorted, a worktable to be tidied and a couple of boxes to be moved to a proper home, I need another bookshelf and some wall space to put it :-) office / computer room and it feels so spacy.
Empty even.
Aha! perhaps I like clutter cause it seems to fill my life up. or not.
Anyway. I have tidied and it is good!
