Arrived safely and a good day
Here I am in Wellingon, slightly bleary-eyed after the night on a Squab in the lounge. Actually slept well, apart from the bird-calls at 6:45! Yesterday was a good day. I banked the payment for my half of the house I used to own, so I have a nice nest egg now. (Don't worry most of it is being aquirreled away to only be uswed to buy another house (or equivalent)).
I managed to not underestimate auckland traffic getting to the airport and thus had plenty of time and was able to fully re-acquaint myself with the travelling experience.
I'd forgotten how much I enjoy flying!
Upon arrival the nice Airport shuttle driver delivered me directly to the door of the theatre where
nz_swordmaiden's play was. It was cool and I was pleasantly surprised a how much my (rusty) knoweldge or German and Swedish helped with the understanding of the Middle English it was performed in.
Then back down to town and I caught up with not two but three of the people I had hoped two. The plan was sushi with fenchurch but I also caught up with Lynelle and played in Parliment grounds with her and her son Dylan (almost 3).
Then walking back to Sushi I ran into (almost literally, isn't it great how you can identify many people by the their rear profile view)
badbaard and a friend. Had a nice natter during the rest of the walk.
Good sushi with fenchurch who was feeling much under the weather so we retired to the flat she shares with her BF for more nattering.
During the sushi the weather had gone from biting cold wind to stormy rain which didn't let up during the nattering so that when I decided to catch a bus to here, I got soaked walking to and (mainly) from the bus.
After a good towelling and more neat nattering, bed was retired to.
